About scoliosis

Scoliosis is a condition most commonly found in adolescents. It is characterised by a curvature of the spine, which can get worse over time if left untreated.

Causes of scoliosis

Most scoliosis is caused by poor posture. A smaller proportion of scoliosis can be attributed to congenital factors.

Osteopathic treatment

Osteopaths can help and even reduce less severe scoliosis (where the curve angle is less then 30 degrees). This is achieved by assessing your pelvic and spinal alignment and prescribing tailored exercises to keep your spine aligned and working at its best.
